Network description:

Action Plasturgie Artois Flandres is a non profit making association. Our main aim is to encourage contacts between businesses in the sector and to promote innovation to increase their productivity.

Our activities focus on four professional areas:

 

Contributing to technical networking:

Technology workshops are organized for common subjects or problems associated with the plastics-processing sector. These involve an expert, industrial firsthand experience and demonstrations necessary. These meetings take place either at the companies or in training centres. Our aim is to demonstrate to industrial participants the technical expertise in the area as well as the training opportunities there.

Developing the distribution of information:

By means of the Technology Advisor who ensures the confidentiality of projects, the APAF technical bureau plays the role of resource centre for seeking technical and regulatory information, suppliers or contractors. The Technology Advisor acts as the interface between the plastics processing sector and technical skills centres (technical centres, universities, engineering colleges, high schools)

Contributing to the effectiveness of training establishments:

Involving businesses has helped to strengthen the teaching resources of the Degrugillier High School in Auchel and to develop training courses to meet the demands of companies

Promoting technological expertise in the sector:

Providing clients with the technological expertise of regional businesses by participating in trade fairs is part of our work.
